Advertising and Public Relations Minor

The Advertising and Public Relations minor provides students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in strategic communication. Students learn how advertising and PR contribute to organizational goals, preparing them for careers in marketing communications across profit and nonprofit sectors.

Admissions Requirements

There are no additional admission requirements beyond ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s general admission process. The minor is open to all students, including those changing programs or transferring from another institution.

Curriculum

The minor requires a minimum of 18 credit hours, including core courses in media writing, strategic communication, and media and identity. Students can tailor the minor through electives in media planning, research, international advertising, social media strategy, and more.
