While some of the University's academic programs are accredited by 30 specialized accreditors, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï as a whole is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). At ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï assessment is a collection of activities designed to help students succeed, therefore program outcomes assessment is about documenting student success. Program outcomes assessment is a tool to help faculty and staff enable ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï to achieve this mission.

All academic programs at ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï are reviewed periodically to help identify program, college, and university priorities, goals, and accomplishments, and help measure the progress of ongoing initiatives. Program review is part of an overall assessment plan that provides a portrait of program strengths and limitations and should result in program improvement.

In the Open Pathway, institutions identify and take action to address important institutional issues (Quality Initiatives) with the assistance of HLC peer review and feedback, learn about ºÚÁϳԹÏ's Quality Initiative Projects.

Perpetuating a culture of continuous improvement and organizational renewal, ºÚÁϳԹÏ’s Administrative and Support Services Unit Review process assures that all administrative, support, co-curricular and athletic programs engage in systematic and integrated program planning, evaluation, and improvement to provide continuing value to the University community.

Institutional Effectiveness & Analytics carries out ongoing student success assessments (institutional surveys) in which longitudinal results are available for each college and academic department. Some institutional surveys also provide external benchmark comparisons with national and peer groups.
