ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï releases 2023 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report in accordance with federal Clery Act
In accordance with the federal Clery Act, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï has completed its 2023 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. The report is available on the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Office of Emergency Management’s website.

The 2023 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report contains information regarding campus security and personal safety, including such topics as crime prevention, local law-enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security on campus.
It contains crime statistics on the Athens, regional and extension campuses for the calendar years 2020, 2021 and 2022. Likewise, crime statistics include reported crimes that occurred in off-campus buildings owned or controlled by ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
Over the past year, the responsibility of compiling the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report has transitioned from University Equity and Civil Rights Compliance to the Office Emergency Management and a new Clery Act and Safety Compliance Coordinator position to oversee Clery compliance for ºÚÁϳԹÏ.
OHIO’s annual Security and Fire Safety report is made possible through the coordination of numerous campus partners, including University Equity and Civil Rights Compliance, the Office of Community Standards and Student Responsibility and the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Police Department.
