Using the Projector and Screen

The control panel for the projector and screen is located on top of the instructor’s podium.

  1. Turn the projector on using the POWER ON button.
  2. Choose what you want to display on the screen:
    1. PC: this option projects the desktop PC built into the podium to the screen.
    2. AirMedia: this option allows you to project your laptop screen wirelessly. See AirMedia instructions.
    3. LAPTOP: this option allows you to project your laptop by connecting it to the HDMI cable on the podium.
  3. When finished, turn the projector off using the POWER OFF button.

Using the Polycom Camera for Hybrid Teams Meetings

The Polycom camera (mounted to the tripod) acts as a webcam and microphone for the room, allowing off-site meeting participants in a Teams meeting to see and hear what is going on in the room.

  1. Plug the camera's USB cable into a USB port on the podium desktop or your laptop.
  2. Start or join the Teams meeting.
    1. To start or join anonymously (without having to log in): go to and enter the meeting ID and passcode from the meeting’s Outlook invitation.
  3. In Teams, choose Polycom Studio for your camera and microphone.

The camera will try to zoom in on whoever is speaking at a given moment, if they are within its viewing area. Position the camera and participants accordingly (you can physically move the camera). To prevent echoes and feedback, have anyone else who is joining the Teams meeting from their laptop inside the room mute their laptop microphone and speakers.
